Well folks, now that Christmas is just around the corner, I hope that everyone has been behaving. Remember it’s not just about the children, I believe that Santa comes to adults as well. I suppose I better start behaving. I’ve been looking out for a Christmas present that I’m sure Santa will bring if I behave, and if I can behave, anybody can. I know that at Christmas time, even my friends behave, I'm sure if they can behave, I can.

In fact, when I was on my way home from a friend's house on Christmas Day in the morning I bumped into one of my friends who looked like they had been out on the booze all night. He looked like he was learning how to dance. It was an old school dance we used to do, it was called the hockey cokey.

Most people can get a bit upset at Christmas because you don't have anything to do. If they want, they can swap with me. I don't know why some people can have long faces at Christmas because at Christmas time even if you don't believe in Santa, you should put a good face on at for the children's sake. Are you one of these people that like to be a Christmas humbug?  Then again I wouldn’t really bother trying because humbugs are a good sweet. If you don’t like humbugs, you can have a different kind of mint. Everybody enjoys different things, just because your friend enjoys Christmas, doesn’t mean you have to. I know that people don't always enjoy Christmas, or even if they are in a bad mood, they should just look at yourself in the mirror and then have a good one. There again, I’m sure that if they tried to smile, honestly it doesn’t hurt. So shake away all your blues, and start singing that song, Lily the pink. In Image result for illustration mistletoe kissfact my friend that I was dancing with was singing the song Lily the pink, but we were doing a different dance, the hockey cokey.  I know that I’m not a great dancer myself, but I at least I dance to proper music.  And you know that Christmas time some people sing I saw mummy Kissing Santa Claus but that would be a miracle in my house. Everybody I know anyway can have a nice Christmas even though they don't want to have a nice Christmas Image result for illustration hand on hipthemselves, they shouldn’t ruin it for other people.  I know a few of my friends this year definitely won't be getting from Santa.  Because I don't think some of them know how to spell behave never mind know how to behave. They would have to look it up in the dictionary.

Since the last time I have been being Santa’s little helper, and all the children and adults I have seen even

when they know how to behave they certainly don’t.

The children suddenly started to jump up and down because when they opened the curtains and saw that it had started to snow. So the children had now gone from fighting to being best friends, I wonder what mischief they had in mind. This reminded me of when I was young I suppose we all did the same. I remember when I was young and more able bodied I used to play in the snow, I used to run about and make slides and fall on my a…. arm lol.  Me and my friends used to love making snowmen and igloos’ and like the children in the start of my story we would fall out a lot especially when one snowman was better than the other. And most of the time my friends would win as there snowmen were always better, well so they thought anyway mine were always better. In fact one of the boys started fighting outside and it would have had to be one of my two. And by this time I was calling these two boys Bill and Ben what were they like fighting over a snowman luckily they were just play fighting and as they saying goes boys will be boys but at the same time it was a bit dramatic.

The children down the road from us were even more mischievous. They used to not only throw snowballs but also put them down each other’s backs. I used to always think if I put one down their backs it might teach them a lesson. I used to always tell them not to break anything and stop getting up to mischief or Santa would not be coming to them this year. They would not listen to me but maybe they would listen to their dad. And maybe they would then believe that Dad is not Santa he is very real.

My radio at this point started playing the Christmas song Santa clause is coming to town, so these boys really should watch out. Then they will see if Santa is real and they will know all about it if there are no presents in their stockings.

That gave me a good idea I would hide all their presents from them see if that taught them a lesson. On Christmas morning I  hid the boys presents in a large bin in the corner of my house and on Christmas morning when Santa came he would put a note on the stockings saying you should have believed in me go to bucket in corner of kitchen and on that bucket they would find another note saying unwanted gifts. All at once my boys started laughing and gigging and giving some funny looks to their mother, there mother couldn’t keep a straight face and started laughing herself the boys started to tell their mother that they had just been trying to wind her up and they had not rally been as naughty as she thought. To prove they were not all bad they said we hope you still believe in Santa because look what he has brought for you and from behind their backs came a present. The boys then went out of the room and came back with some mistletoe and gave their parents a kiss and said we hope you are not as easy to wind up next year, because we have found it hard to keep a straight face.

Did you not see we were trying hard not to laugh ourselves, we have always believed in Santa we were just winding you up. Mum was trying not to laugh herself when the boys said maybe it’s you that doesn’t believe in Santa. I have always believed in Santa because my parents always told me about him and about behaving, they always made sure I was tucked up in bed and asleep. I am dreaming of a white Christmas’s.

And Santa his self was always singing jingle bells. And in between going HO HO HO…..

Here are some of the songs we like to sing at Christmas.

On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me

A Guinness and a half pint for me,

On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me

A wee dram o whiskey and very large pot o tea,

On the third day of Christmas my true love sent to me

One gin and tonic and an ice cube as big as me,
